Ateneo is an easy-to-use yet powerful tool for working with textual variants, intended to have application principally in the study of manuscripts and help with visualizing textual relations and constructing editions.

Ateneo is in the initial stage of development. A prototype has been built for a set of model data. We are currently reworking the code for this prototype in a more OO style. This will shortly be available in project cvs.

Concurrently, we are developing a more robust data model for version relationships among the sources of historical texts.
